Even more control & flexibility with our digital mobility card
Digital mobility is evolving at lightning speed and honestly? Figo is the frontrunner. Employees increasingly want flexibility and convenience, while organizations want to keep control over costs and policies. At Figo, we believe you can perfectly combine those two worlds, and we’ve just made that even easier.
Until recently, the settings of the TravelCard (Figo’s Digital-First Mobility Card) were configured during implementation. Convenient, but sometimes just not flexible enough. What if an employee suddenly needs to travel abroad? Or if you want different arrangements for one department compared to the rest of the organization? These were very concrete questions we received from our customers.
That’s exactly why we completely flipped this process around. From now on, as an administrator, you decide which mobility options are enabled or disabled. Anytime, anywhere exactly in line with your organization and policies.
You can set this up super easily on three levels:
- Organization level: set one default for all employees.
- Department level: specific settings per team.
- Employee level: tailor-made settings for each individual.
And the best part: every change is pushed directly to the employee’s digital card, so they have the right access the very same day. (Or to be precise, it takes about 21 seconds).

Practical examples
- International travel: Does a colleague need to go abroad unexpectedly? With just one click you can grant temporary or permanent access to international mobility options.
- Public transport: Has an employee lost their NS Business Card? One click and their digital TravelCard gives them access to public transport again..
- Department-specific policies: Want a department to only use public transport and shared mobility, but not taxis or fuel options? Sorted within seconds.
The interface is simple, so any administrator can work with it effortlessly, but complex logic ensures everything runs securely, reliably, and in real time.
Why is this so important?
For organizations, this update means maximum control over mobility without sacrificing convenience. It allows you to make policies far more flexible while at the same time simplifying administrative processes.
For employees, it means they can always rely on the right mobility options tailored to their situation, whether that’s commuting, an international business trip, or hybrid working.
